THE Laguna provincial government under Governor Sol Aragones continues to provide accessible healthcare to the community.
A free laboratory testing officially started on Monday at the Hectan Building in Calamba City.
The program aims to deliver essential medical services to approximately 300 residents from the city’s 2nd district.
Organized in coordination with public health stakeholders, the initiative offers free Chemistry 8 (Extraction) laboratory tests.
Blood extraction procedures began on March 23 and will run until April 1, 2026, ensuring that all registered participants are properly accommodated.
In addition to laboratory services, beneficiaries are scheduled to receive medical consultations on March 25, March 27, and April 1.
During these sessions, licensed physicians will review and interpret laboratory results and provide appropriate prescriptions based on each patient’s medical condition.
According to Maridel Burgos, Focal Person from the Public Affairs Office, this marks the first batch of beneficiaries under the program.
“Sa ngayon ginaganap natin ang first batch ng free laboratory test kung saan mayroon tayong 300 patients na kukuhaan ng dugo. Makukuha nila ang resulta sa March 25, at kasama na rin dito ang consultation. Mayroon tayong mga doktor na magbabasa ng kanilang request upang mabigyan sila ng reseta para sa kanilang gamot,” Burgos said.
The program is implemented with the support of the Department of Health through its Medical Assistance for Indigent Patients (MAIP) program, represented by Gab Ancheta.
The initiative highlights the continued commitment of the Provincial Government of Laguna to expand access to essential healthcare services, particularly for underserved communities in Calamba City.
