THE Department of Agriculture on Tuesday said that 625,963 hectares of crops were affected by “Kabayan.”
“Kabayan,” now a low pressure area, damaged 424,673 hectares of rice and 201,290 hectares of corn.
According to DA, the affected regions as of December 18 include Regions 4-B, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
The DA said no immediate data on the damage cost is available.
The Department said it is still gathering situationer reports, particularly on agricultural areas, from its regional field offices.
