GIRL, 9, FOUND DEAD IN NEIGHBOR’S HOME

A 9-YEAR-OLD girl on Wednesday was found dead in the house of her neighbor in Bgy. Sto. Cristo, Guagua, Pampanga.

The victim, who was believed to have been raped before she was killed, was discovered in the house of an alleged druggie neighbor.

Prior to the gruesome discovery, a CCTV footage showed the child going to her parents’ house to ask for school allowance.

The girl was staying at her aunts’ house.

“Pagdaan po ng bata, nakita sa CCTV na may tumawag doon sa portion kung saan nangyari ‘yung krimen. Tinawag ‘yung bata, pumasok ‘yung bata then hindi na siya lumabas. ‘Yun ang last na kita doon sa bata… doon mismo sa garahe ng suspect,” Guagua Police Station chief Lt. Col. Arnel Sagun told a television  interview.

“After an hour, nakita ‘yung suspect, lumabas palingon-lingon,” the official added.

The suspect was arrested by the police in a follow-up operation.

The accused admitted using illegal drugs but denied molesting and killing the child.
