A NURSE who was only trying to help on Wednesday was shot dead by a motorcycle rider in Caloocan City.
Victim Mark John Blanco, 39, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and arm.
An investigation showed the victim tried to help the suspect identified as Joel Vecino, a security officer, from picking up his motorcycle after falling due to intoxication in Bgy. 173, Caloocan City.
When the motorcycle failed to restart, the suspect allegedly got mad, pulled out a gun and shot Blanco repeatedly.
The suspect also shot Willy Manarom, 39, who had just came out of his house to check on the commotion.
Vecino, who figured in a minor accident while fleeing, was arrested by the Caloocan police.
Recovered at the crime scene were three 9mm shell casings which matched the suspect’s firearm.
Charges for double murder are being readied for filing in court against the motorcycle rider.
