POLICE on Wednesday arrested two men while three others escaped in the robbery-killing of a market collector in Bocaue, Bulacan
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Bulacan police identified the victim as Alona Oliveros, a market collector residing at Bernardo Compound, Caingin, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Two of the suspects were identified as Aliudin Marihom and Alamin Cadal.
Initial probe showed that the female victim boarded a tricycle from Batia Toda terminal in Bgy. Batia, Bocaue.
When the tricycle stopped in Bgy. Caingin, the suspects, both wearing black jackets and helmets on a black plateless motorbike, suddenly appeared.
The back rider pulled out a gun and shot the victim twice in the head.
The gunman grabbed the shoulder bag of the victim before they sped off in an unknown direction.
Police immediately launched a dragnet operation, which resulted in the arrest of the two suspects, while their three other cohorts are being hunted by the authorities.
