A WOMAN on Friday was robbed of P4.2 million in cash while her husband was busy fixing a flat tire on the highway in Bgy. Cawayan Bugtong, Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., the Nueva Ecija police identified the victim as Elma Pomaras, 35, of Bgy. Bunol, Guimba.
The victim’s husband, Abner, told police that his wife had just sold her 3.4-hectare farmland worth P6 million.
Abner said the buyer gave an initial payment of P4.2 million.
The couple went to the Land Bank to withdraw the amount.
When they were within the vicinity of Bgy. Saranay, their vehicle experienced a flat tire and they decided to stop in Bgy. Cawayan Bugtong.
The husband got out of the car to check the tire when the two unidentified suspects on a black vehicle stopped and at gunpoint took from the victim the P4.2 million cash.
The robbers fled towards Baloc, Sto. Domingo area.
