A 12-YEAR-OLD girl on Monday died while three others were injured when they fell into a septic tank in their school in Alfonso, Cavite.
The Alfonso Police Station identified the fatality as Criszel, a Grade 5 student at the Sinaliw Malaki Elementary School in Bgy. Sinaliw Malaki.
Criszel’s three other classmates were injured.
An investigation showed the four students were having their lunch when the concrete chair where they were sitting suddenly collapsed at 12:40 p.m. on Monday.
The four fell off the septic tank.
Criszel was rushed to the nearest hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
School authorities immediately ordered a suspension of classes following the incident.
An investigation is ongoing.
