THE fourth leg of the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) nationwide caravan will be held in Batangas City today, June 6, 2024.
According to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, the South Luzon leg of the Bagong Immigration Service Caravan will take place in Batangas City.
The caravan aims to offer convenient access to essential services for foreign nationals residing in South Luzon.
“Our goal is to bring our services closer to the people,” said Tansingco.
“While many of our services are now accessible online, we recognize the importance of personally engaging with our communities to facilitate immigration compliance,” he added.
The service caravan has visited key regions across the country, providing expedited processing for various BI transactions, including extensions for tourist visas, exit clearances, dual citizenship applications, and other essential services.
Through the caravan, the BI aims to simplify processes and facilitate compliance for foreign nationals in the country.
In addition to streamlined services, concerned citizens may report illegal aliens and foreign sexual predators in Batangas City and neighboring areas directly through the caravan.
“We aspire to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and transparency in our operations, thereby contributing to a safer and more secure Philippines,” Tansingco remarked.
The caravan kicked off its journey in Zamboanga City on March 6, followed by the Iloilo leg on April 17, and the Baguio leg on May 8.
The Batangas leg of the caravan will welcome applicants from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m..
The BI urged residents of Batangas and its neighboring areas to avail of the expedited immigration services offered.
