THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) is preparing a criminal case against a driver arrested in an anti-colorum drive in Los Baños, Laguna.
Van driver Brillo Jailey Adremisin was turned over to the local police while the van, with license plate NDF7889, was impounded.
LTO chief Vigor Mendoza warned other operators and drivers of colorum vehicles to cease their operations amid its crackdown on colorum vehicles.
“Magpapatuloy ang agresibong operasyon ng LTO sa buong bansa. Kaya ngayon pa lang ay pinapayuhan natin ang mga operator at driver ng colorum vehicles na tumigil na at lumagay sa tama,” said Mendoza.
Investigation showed the van driver failed to show Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) when a team from the LTO- 4A flagged down the vehicle he was driving.
The LTO was told by the 11 passengers that they paid P500 each for a ride from Real, Quezon to SM Calamba.
This resulted in the arrest of Adremisin and the impounding of the vehicle.
