CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba, Laguna – A fire that struck a community in Bgy. Lingos Zapote 3, Bacoor City, Cavite on Tuesday left eight people injured and some 1,000 families homeless.
The Bacoor City police identified those injured as Conrado Mangubat, Luigie Hernandez, Sammy Kalingkat, Steve Reclaimante, Jeric Mendoza, Larry Baldogo, Jaypee Omene, and Antony Isidro.
Investigation showed the fire started in the house of a couple and spread to the adjacent houses around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Police are investigating allegations that the couple quarreled and the husband threatened to set their house on fire.
Firefighters declared a fire out at 2:13 p.m. on the same day.
