THE Association of Barangay Captains-Bulacan president and his driver on Thursday were killed in an ambush in Bgy. Ligas, Malolos City, Bulacan.
Slain were Ramil Capistrano, ABC president of Bulacan and a resident of Bgy. Caingin, San Rafael, Bulacan, and his driver Shedrick Suarez, of Bgy. Caingin, Malolos City also in Bulacan.
The victims were traversing the service road in Bgy. Ligas on board their vehicle, a Mitsubishi Montero with plate no. CBZ6532, when the unidentified suspects appeared and fired shots at them.
Capistrano and Suarez died on the spot.
Police immediately launched a dragnet operation for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
