ACTRESS and comedian Ai-Ai delas Alas on Monday confirmed that she and her husband Gerald Sibayan have parted ways.
In a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview, delas Alas — who is celebrating her 60th birthday on Monday, November 11 — was emotional as she confirmed that the split happened last October.
“Hiwalay na kami. Last month pa.
“So medyo confused ako and shocked, and bakit ngayon? Bakit ngayong oras na ‘to? Sana hinintay mo man lang ako makauwi sa Amerika,” she added.
Delas Alas said that they have tried in vitro fertilization (IVF) to have a baby but failed multiple times.
Delas Alas explained that they had no significant argument before they called it quits.
“Sa buong pagsasama namin, bilang sa daliri ang discussion nga hindi ang away, so parang nagulat lang ako na why ngayon,” she added.
Delas Alas expressed belief that there was a third party on the part of Sibayan.
‘Pag lumaban pa kasi ako kunyari nag-stay ako, parang alam ko naman iyong magiging ending eh,” she said.
The actress comedian wished her husband well, adding that she’s still in the moment of processing things.
