POLICE on Saturday arrested the suspect in looting a church in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Mabalacat City police commander Lt. Col. Efren David said the looting in the church was reported by Ken Policarpio, the 27-year-old finance officer of the Our Lady of Grace Parish Church and a resident of San Joaquin, Mabalacat City.
A CCTV footage helped authorities arrest the suspect, a resident of San Francisco also in Mabalacat City.
Seized from the suspect were the stolen items from the church, including a gold-plated Sto. Nino crown and a gold-plated chalice.
The suspect also yielded a transparent plastic sachet containing shabu.
Appropriate charges are being readied for filing in court against the arrested thief.
