THREE workers delivering goods on Tuesday fell prey to holdup men in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Norzagaray police said robbed were delivery truck driver Teodorico Bantang, 57; helpers Mark Anthony Manlapig, 33, and Eduard Colarte, 22, all residents of Plaridel, Bulacan.
According to the victims, they delivered goods to customers in Bgy. Bitungol, Norzagaray, and when they were inside the truck, a man opened the vehicle and declared a holdup.
The armed man took the P101,629.57 cash, boarded a waiting motorcycle then sped off towards Bgy. Tigbe.
The victims immediately sought help from village watchmen, who reviewed the CCTV footage of the homeowner’s association for possible identification of the suspects.
The barangay tanods were able to identify the driver of the motorcycle and the victims’ employer decided to file a case against the suspect and his cohort.
