CAMP OLIVAS, San Fernando, Pampanga — The just concluded 2025 midterm elections in Central Luzon were generally peaceful, with no major incidents recorded throughout the election period, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) on Tuesday reported.
By 7 p.m. Monday, after the formal closing of the voting centers, police remained alert and positioned throughout the region to ensure the safe and orderly transmission of election returns from the vote counting machines (VCMs) to the canvassing centers.
The PNP is closely coordinating with the Commission on Elections (Comelec), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and other law enforcement agencies to maintain the security and integrity of the automated election process.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo said that despite some glitches in some precincts, the polling was smooth and peaceful as a whole.
“We did not record any major incidents that affected the order of the election here in Central Luzon,” she said.
Fajardo thanked all the police officers deployed throughout the region, as well as the partner law enforcement agencies that were part of the successful implementation of election security.
“The success of a peaceful election is not only the success of the PNP but of the entire people. Thank you very much for your dedication, sacrifice, and service to the people,” she added.
Fajardo said PRO3 will continue to watch until the formal completion of the canvassing and declaration of the winning candidates to ensure peace and order throughout Central Luzon.
