CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) arrested 174 wanted felons, seized over P4 million worth of illegal drugs, and confiscated 44 loose firearms during its anti-criminality operations from September 28 to October 4.
The operations, conducted under the directive of acting PNP chief Lt. Gen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., showcased the region’s intensified drive against criminality, illegal drugs, and loose firearms.
A report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. showed that of the 174 individuals arrested, 52 were identified as most wanted persons at the regional, provincial, city, and municipal levels, while 122 others were apprehended for various criminal charges.
In the continuing anti-drug campaign, PRO3 carried out 129 operations that led to the arrest of 191 suspects.
Police seized a total of 633.714 grams of shabu valued at P4,044,661.12.
Meanwhile, in support of the government’s campaign against illegal possession of firearms, 25 individuals were arrested and 44 firearms were recovered, surrendered, or confiscated under Republic Act 10591.
Peñones lauded the dedication of police personnel and reaffirmed the command’s full adherence to the PNP’s operational thrusts under Nartatez Jr..
“These weeklong accomplishments are proof of our relentless commitment to protect our communities and bring offenders to justice,” Peñones said.
“Guided by our acting Chief PNP, PRO3 will continue to step up operations against criminality, illegal drugs, and loose firearms to ensure the safety of the people of Central Luzon,” he added.
The PRO3 vowed to sustain its intensified operations and strengthen collaboration with communities and stakeholders to maintain peace and security throughout the region.
