CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has deployed a total of 645 newly- graduated patrolmen and patrolwomen of the Philippine National Police to various Police Provincial Offices and City Police Offices across Central Luzon, significantly bolstering frontline manpower and police visibility in the region.
Prior to the deployment, the new police officers underwent a comprehensive orientation on PRO3’s guiding principles known as the 3Ps — Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism — to ensure that their duties in the field are grounded in people-centered, lawful, and professional policing.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. underscored the importance of strategic manpower deployment in enhancing police capability, particularly during the heightened security demands of the holiday season.
He said the deployment of the newly-graduated police officers is crucial in ensuring that every unit has adequate personnel to effectively serve and protect the public.
“Equipped with the core values of the 3Ps of PRO3, these Patrolmen and Patrolwomen will further strengthen police visibility, responsiveness, and operational readiness throughout Central Luzon,” Peñones said.
He said the additional personnel are expected to enhance crime prevention efforts, law enforcement operations, and community engagement, especially in areas with manpower shortages and high operational requirements.
According to the Central Luzon top cop, the initiative supports the PNP Focused Agenda under the leadership of acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in the areas of enhanced police operations, efficient resource management, and strengthened community partnership, ensuring that personnel and resources are deployed where they are most needed.
“Through this deployment, PRO3 reaffirmed its commitment to building a capable, visible, and people-oriented police force — guided by the 3Ps, responsive to public safety needs, and steadfast in maintaining peace and order across Central Luzon,” Peñones added.
