CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Regional Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (RLECC) 3 and the Joint Anti-Bank Robbery and Cybercrime Coordinating Committee (JABRACCC) 3 on Monday conducted a joint meeting for a strengthened coordination and enforcement drives.
The conference, conducted at the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Multi-Purpose Hall, highlighted ongoing intensified operations aimed at maintaining peace and order across the region through a unified, whole-of-government approach.
Among the key updates presented was the continued crackdown on modified and illegal mufflers, which authorities said contribute to public disturbance and road safety concerns.
Records showed that from June 19, 2025 to February 22, 2026, law enforcement units have destroyed a total of 5,227 confiscated mufflers.
An additional 3,005 illegal mufflers were formally presented during the meeting for scheduled destruction as part of sustained enforcement efforts.
Officials also reported significant progress in firearms control operations, with more than 4,000 loose and illegal firearms seized through various police and inter-agency operations now properly accounted for and secured.
According to authorities, the recovery of these weapons has helped reduce potential threats to community safety.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. underscored the importance of inter-agency collaboration in achieving these results, emphasizing that law enforcement gains were made possible through collective action among partner agencies.
“These accomplishments demonstrate the effectiveness of a whole-of-government approach. Maintaining peace and order is a shared responsibility, and through the strong cooperation within RLECC 3, JABRACCC 3, and our partner agencies, we continue to implement concrete measures that safeguard our communities,” Peñones said.
He added that the initiatives align with the Philippine National Police’s focused agenda under PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly in strengthening law enforcement efficiency, integrity, and accountability.
In Central Luzon, PRO3 continues to implement these priorities through its strategic “3Ps” framework — Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.
The joint meeting concluded with member agencies reaffirming their commitment to sustain coordinated enforcement operations and further enhance public safety programs throughout the region.
