PEÑARANDA, Nueva Ecija — The burned bodies of a man and a woman on Monday were found inside a charred car in Bgy. Sinasajan, this town.
Both victims remained unidentified due to the severity of the burns sustained during the fire.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, the Nueva Ecija police were alerted about a burning vehicle parked in front of the Leong Hup Farm in the village.
Firefighters and responding members of the Peñaranda Police Station found a red Toyota Wigo with license plate number DAR 7847 engulfed in flames.
When the fire was put out, authorities discovered the remains of two individuals — one male and a female — inside the vehicle.
Police are conducting an investigation into the identities of the victims and the circumstances surrounding the deaths, including if there was foul play involved in the incident.
