CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The one-day anti-illegal drug operations by the police in Central Luzon led to the arrest of four “high-value” target individuals and the seizure of more than P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs, Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. on Thursday announced.
Hidalgo said that in Cabanatuan City, joint SDEU operatives of the Cabanatuan City police and the PDEA Nueva Ecija launched an anti-illegal drugs operation in Bgy. Bantug Norte, which led to the arrest of a 45-year-old woman identified as alias “Lara” and a 27-year-old man known only as “Elmer.”
Confiscated from the duo were some 62 grams of shabu worth P421,600 and the marked money.
In Subic, Zambales, an entrapment operation conducted by personnel of the SDEU Subic, in collaboration with PDEA Zambales, Zambales PDEU, Zambales PIU, 305th MC, RMFB3, and Zambales 2nd PMFC, in Bgy. Calapacuan resulted in the arrest of alias “Dagul” who yielded at least 106 grams of shabu valued at P620,800, along with the buy-bust money.
In Angeles City, a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Pulung Bulu led to the arrest of “Soy.” Seized from him was some P408,000 worth of shabu.
All arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Hidalgo commended his men for the arrests as he highlighted the steadfast dedication of law enforcement agencies in addressing the spread of illegal drugs in Central Luzon.
